Earlier this year, new sign-ups of auto-renewing subscriptions became temporarily unavailable for users in India and new subscribers were limited to single-access passes.

Now that the industry has begun to adopt the new e-mandate requirements, Google will be re-enabling auto-renewing subscription in India.

Users with cards from banks that support the new requirements will be able to purchase auto-renewing subscription.

Therefore, the India users who singed up for their auto-renewing subscription before RBI e-mandate changes went into effect must verify their card to continue the subscription. Users who do not verify their Card by Sep. 30 will not be able to renew.

Please verify your card in the Google Play Subscription Center by September 30, 2021.
